There 2 type of Suggestion there are Asking Suggestion ( Asking for advice ) and Giving Suggestion ( Giving advice ) . Both of them have different purpose.
💨 Suggestion : is a plan or opinion given to an individual for consideration.
◼ Purpose : To help someone who needs any suggestion or advice by giving our personal idea and opinion in our daily life
💨 Advice : is mainly in the sense of counseling what a person should do
concerning a specific phenomenon that he or she does not have a clear understanding.
◼ Purpose : certain situations relayed in some context to another person, group or party often offered as a guide to action and/or conduct

Either use a verb + ing
“I suggest visiting the Eiffel Tower.” (We should all go.)
OR use that + a verb without to
“I suggest that you visit the Eiffel Tower.” (I’m not going.)
OR use a noun
“I recommend the lasagne.” (It’s a very good dish to choose in this restaurant.)
